We had a lot of fun doing this, and was especially nice to hang out with Damien and Mojaxx. Damien runs through some of the features of Rekord Buddy 2, and squirms as Mojaxx doesn’t let him off the hook about the delays. But there’s good news on delivery dates and a Windows version too. This is no easy task by any means, thus Rekord Buddy 2 has been in beta for a very long time. But the more important news is that the upcoming Rekord Buddy 2 will take on the lofty task of being the conduit that syncs your tracks, cues, loops etc between all major DJ software libraries, and in particular Serato DJ and Scratch Live.
But to do a 600+ mile round trip in one day is madness, so Mojaxx brought DJ City to DJWORX to film a short interview, and so we could all hang out for a while and chat nonsense about the DJ industry.įor those not up to speed, Rekord Buddy aims to ease the suffering of syncing Pioneer’s rekordbox libraries with Traktor. And part of this trip, he wanted to swing by The Worxlab, and then head even further up north to see Mojaxx at the DJ City HQ in Newcastle.

Last weekend saw Damien Sirkis from Next Audio Labs trudge all the way from the USA to the Brighton Music Conference to show off progress with his long awaited update to Rekord Buddy.
